What we doWe are your specialist Offset and Digital Printing shop.Nearly all jobs can be produced by offset printing. NZPC finds, based on experience, runs of 300 and over, larger format jobs and specific brand colours are better suited to offset printing. Here at NZPC, we recognise the importance of both techniques which is why we have merged traditional offset printing with evolving digital to provide solutions for all print jobs. The value-added advantage by combining the multiple production methods can save time and money for most high-volume consumers of printed products. A common misconception of digital printing is that of quality, but with digital printing becoming a serious alternative to traditional offset in the late 1990’s, it brought with it the very solution that many businesses needed, and a viable printing solution that many wouldn’t dream of doing without these days! Because four-colour printing in small quantities can often be very expensive, NZPC offers a solution for our clients which make it possible to print short runs quickly at a reasonable price. Digital PrintingA common misconception of digital printing is that it is lower quality than offset printing. In some cases this is true. However, with advances in technologies the difference is often completely unnoticeable. Digital printing is very affordable for smaller print runs and can often be turned around faster than offset printing as no plates are required to be made and the image is instantly dry.Offset PrintingPractically any job can be produced by offset printing and based on our experience runs of 300 and over, larger format jobs and specific brand colours are best suited to offset printing. Our 7 Step Offset Printing Process lets you follow your job from quoting to distribution: 1. We quote the job: One of our estimators will give you a quote as soon as possible allowing you to process your paperwork and accurately place your order. Remember – not all printing companies include their plate making and guillotine work in their quotes so make sure you are comparing quotes that include the same processes.2. Contact us to finalise details or discuss any concerns you have about the quote and/or details: We’re always doing our best to ensure the quote you receive is as competitive as we can make it while making sure the print quality is not compromised. A cheaper quote may mean handing out poorly printed material - do you want to risk colour variation or imprecise registration to save a few extra cents? 3. Once you’ve accepted the quote you send the file to us as a PDF: Our team is more than happy to assist you in this part of the process if you would like them to, and we can even design the job if you want. We’ve included an FTP upload area in the top right-hand side of our website to make things even easier for you. With an experienced in-house design team, you can be sure the end result will look great. 4. We send you a digital proof: We send you a proof to double check that everything is as it should be. We will not proceed without your authorisation. 5. Once the proof has been confirmed, we make the plates: Printing plates are used to transfer the image. A plate is prepared for each colour used or four plates in the case of a four-colour (CMYK) process printing. Your design is laser etched onto the printing plates. These plates can be stored by us to be used at a later date. 6. Plates are put on the press and the job is printed: It is then finished to your specifications, for example folded, bound or wrapped. 7. The job is dispatched to your branches or your preferred distribution supplier: We take care of it all – simply let us know your distribution supplier and we can deliver right to their door. FinishingMany people simply print their jobs and fail to really perfect the finishing of the job. Have you considered one or a combination of the following options: die cutting, laminating, folding, binding, flow wrapping, overglazing, creasing or perforating with a tear off flap. Any of these processes might be the difference between your business getting noticed or not.StorageHave you considered pre-printing your jobs like letterheads, compliment slips and company folders so that when you are running low you can simply contact us for them to be distributed? We have a number of regular clients we keep stock on-site for so that when they need it we can deliver it immediately. |
